Why aluminum

When Aluminum Wins

Three reasons project teams pick it.

  • 01
Lighter installsWhen a piece has to be lifted, hung, or moved, lighter parts mean easier installs and lower freight.
  • 02
It never rustsA natural fit for outdoor, coastal, and washdown adjacent work.
  • 03
Easier on the budgetTypically costs less per part, and the savings grow when weight matters.
Skill test

Aluminum Welding Is a Skill Test

Aluminum is harder to weld than steel. Its oxide layer melts at a far higher temperature than the metal itself, and sloppy technique leaves porous, cracked welds that fail under load.

01

Aluminum or Stainless?

Aluminum wins on weight, budget, and outdoor exposure. Stainless wins on strength, heat, and sanitation. Many projects use both.

FAQ

Common Questions

No. Rust is iron oxide, and aluminum contains no iron. It holds up outdoors and in coastal environments without coatings.

Yes. Across the tristate, with shipping beyond it quoted case by case. Send drawings and the delivery location and we quote fabrication and freight together.

Yes. Both go through the same equipment, so the piece you approve is the piece we can repeat.

Aluminum conducts heat quickly and carries an oxide layer that melts at a far higher temperature than the metal under it, so a weld can burn through or fail to fuse. Our TIG welders run aluminum daily. Send the drawing and the alloy and we confirm the joint before quoting.
